About Us

The Mission of Mississippi Valley Neighborhood Housing Services is to promote and increase the opportunities for obtaining and maintaining home ownership for low-moderate income families and individuals in the MVNHS service area. Through its programs, MVNHS works to renew pride, promote reinvestment, and revitalize neighborhoods throughout our service area.

 

Mississippi Valley Neighborhood Housing Services was incorporated in 1981 and for 27 years has provided services in the low/moderate income neighborhoods of East Bluff, Le Claire Heights, Bridge to Ridge, Goose Creek and Ridgeview in Davenport.

 

Through the years MVNHS has provided first and second mortgage loans, rehab loans, rehabilitation technical assistance, homebuyers education, community organizing assistance, exterior and beautification grants, predatory loan refinancing, foreclosure prevention counseling and technical assistance, and many other programs and services that strove to meet a community need.

 

Several national state and local partners invest and donate to MVNHS so that we can provide loans and other services to underserved populations, such as minorities, single parent families and low-income individuals.
